This HND Business Marketing course is designed to develop academic knowledge and understanding of key business concepts and how to apply and evaluate business principles. Throughout the course students’ academic abilities and management skills are enhanced. The HND Business (Marketing) is ideal for those who wish to pursue a career in marketing or sales in a wide range of industries.

The HND Business Marketing provides a wide-ranging study of the business sector in the first year of the course and is designed for students who then want to specialise in marketing and want to learn about the theories that modern marketing strategies are founded upon. With a strong focus upon employability, you will learn a broad range of transferable skills that are designed to equip you for a successful career in Business.

HND Business Marketing

This pathway gives an overview of the marketing function. It considers the purchase decision-making process and the variables and situations influencing buyer behaviour as well as exploring the marketing research process; the ability to determine specific promotional activities in response to target audience; the application and evaluation of analytical tools to create a marketing plan; and sales planning and operations and the different stages of the sales process.

This leading qualification not only boosts your future career prospects, but it even has the potential act as an entry point to achieving a prestigious honours degree in higher education.

Assessment

Assessment of is based on assignments, typically one assignment per unit. These assignments will vary and include a mix of formal reports, presentations and practical tasks, but there will be no formal exams.  You won’t have to write any exams during your HND; instead you will focus on gaining practical, applicable skills through real-world case studies and group and individual assignments.  Learners are assessed using a variety of methods, including group work, tutorials, lectures, seminars presentations, role play and case study analyses, written assignments. All units will be individually graded as ‘passes, ‘merit’ or ‘distinction’. To achieve a full qualification you must pass all 8 units to achieve the higher certificate and all 16 units to achieve the higher diploma.

Progression

A key progression path for HND learners is to the second or third year of a degree or honours degree programme, depending on the match of the Higher National units to the degree programme in question. You can choose any field related with Business or Marketing do to you Top Up.

Government Funds – Student Finance England

If you are an UK/EU citizen or living in the UK on Indefinite stay, you can receive support from the government via Student Loan Company to cover tuition fees and some living costs while studying, depending on your circumstances. Tuition fee loans, to cover the full cost of your course, are paid directly to the course provider. Maintenance loans can be applied for at the same time, lending you money at the start of each term. You won’t have to pay back the loan until after your course, when you’re earning above a certain level.  Students can still apply for grants if they’re eligible for certain benefits, disabled, or need help with childcare costs.
